Land Acknowledgement

The Fort Smith Ski Club acknowledges that we are located in Treaty 8 and Tthebatthie Denesųłiné Nation territory. From time immemorial, it has been the traditional homeland of the Tthebatthie Denesųłiné, the Chipewyan and Cree people of the Salt River First Nation, and more recently, Fort Smith Métis people. These Nations and people have maintained stewardship of their sacred lands, and we respect their histories, languages, and cultures, whose presence and cultures continue to enrich our vibrant communities.
